The company:
Make the move into government with this large energy/resources legal team where you will focus on complex native title work as part of a large practice advising government and GOCs.
About the role:
This role will see you working with a team of experienced lawyers focussed on the delivery of native title advice including:
- complex advice on The Native Title Act, The Human Rights Act and Cultural Heritage Acts particularly as they relate to large public infrastructure, mining and resources projects etc;
- advice on ILUAs, s31 agreements, future act and objection applications;
- negotiating drafting and review of cultural heritage agreements and management plans;
- native title / cultural heritage implications of specific grants of tenements; and
- litigation proceedings relating to the above.
Skills/Experience:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- At least 10 years PAE, demonstrated native title experience;
- a collaborative, team approach to your work;
- a commercial and focussed manner; and
- strong mentoring and team building skills.
