About the firm:
This Queensland based boutique IP law firm is headed by an energetic and highly regarded Partner with a stable of clients from very large corporates through to start ups. The firm has done very well in recent years and continues to build an outstanding reputation in IP law, providing highly commercial and tailored advice and solutions to its clients.
About the role:
As part of this boutique IP practice, your day to day will see you work in a small, collegiate team across:
- IP advice and litigation;
- commercialisation advice and agreement drafting from licence agreements through to commercialisation strategies;
- various technology contract negotiation and drafting;
- trademark advice, registration and infringement work;
- work for a range of clients from large corporate and government clients as well as startups;
- advising on associated commercial advice from structurng to shareholder agreements and employment contracts; and
- supporting the firm’s marketing – mostly content generation.
Skills/Experience:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- 3-15 years’ post admission experience in IP/IT law;
- if you have some practice or contact you will be rewarded with an excellent profit share system;
- a high level of maturity and business sense allowing you to provide pragmatic, commercial advice to your clients;
- legally qualified candidates with a dual law/IT degree, IT background, patent/trademark attorney backround will be highly regarded.
