Litigation Partner

The company:
This is a rare opportunity for a Partner or Special Counsel who is close to Partner to join this firm’s established litigation practice. This Queensland law firm operates at a national law firm level in terms of the type of work, the quality of staff and the systems the firm has in place. The firm continues to grow and this is an exciting opportunity to take equity (in short time frame) in a growing firm.

About the role:
Working closely with a number of Partners (including accredited specialists) who are regarded highly around town as being technically very good litigators but also as being genuinely nice people this role will see you:

• focus on the firm’s construction litigation (plus some front end work);
• work for a range of ASX listed corporates, large SMEs as well as government clients;
• consistently engaged in high quality, superior court litigation you would expect in a large national law firm; and
• working in a genuine team environment, which is well resourced, uses the latest technology and has a consistent culture that promotes work/life balance and a happy workplace while also focussing on excellent outcomes for clients ensuring repeat work from those clients.

Skills/Experience:
To be considered for this role you will:

• ideally be at Partner level, be looking to wind your smaller practice into a bigger firm or will be a Special Counsel with a developing practice of your own; 
• have strong technical experience across construction and commercial litigation or other analygous superior court litigation; and
• have experience leading, mentoring and supervising junior lawyers.
