The company:
This international mining company has close to 20 operations globally and a number of significant mining projects here in Australia. With high ESG values, a diverse workforce and fantastic employee recognition program it is not your traditional mining company.
About the role:
Reporting to the Australian General Counsel, your role will be varied and include:
- corporate/commercial work – various contracts/procurement work, confidentiality agreements, joint venture agreements, M&A, corporate advisory etc;
- due diligence on new sites or site redevelopment;
- managing and advising on corporate governance and associated compliance activities;
- advising on employment and industrial relations matters (with support from external legal advisors);
- ad hoc legal advice, presentations and training to the business; and
- visits to site on an as required, irregular basis.
Skills/Experience:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- 4-10 years’ PAE in corporate, commercial or energy and resources;
- exposure in-house to mining/resources, manufacturing or heavy industry will be highly regarded;
- some exposure to in-house is preferred including secondment experience;
- a commercial approach and good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
