Compliance Officer

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to step into a hands-on compliance role within a growing, values-driven investment and property development group.

Working closely with the Head of Legal, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s compliance framework across managed investment schemes and development activities.

This role is very much operational and execution-focused, with genuine exposure to senior stakeholders and broad responsibility across compliance, risk and governance.

• Monitor and interpret regulatory and legislative changes, assessing impact on the business
• Draft, implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures and registers
• Assist with preparation, execution and record-keeping of fund and investment documentation
• Coordinate ASIC lodgements and regulatory reporting
• Conduct internal reviews, risk assessments and controls testing
• Support audit preparation, including document collation and version control
• Provide compliance advice and guidance to internal stakeholders
• Investigate compliance issues and assist with remediation actions
• Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives
• Support and mentor junior compliance staff as required

About You

• 2–4+ years’ experience in a legal, compliance, risk or regulatory role
• Exposure to financial services, funds, investments, banking or property-related environments preferred
• Strong understanding of regulatory obligations and compliance frameworks
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working autonomously in a hands-on role
• Confident communicator who can work closely with legal, finance and commercial teams
• High level of integrity and professionalism
