The opportunity:
This is not your typical defendant insurance firm gig. Our client is a specialist firm with a unique operating model – closer to working in-house for an insurer than in private practice. You’ll work alongside senior ex-top-tier lawyers in a collaborative, grown-up environment that genuinely values work-life balance.
The role:
You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of professional indemnity and public liability matters, with a strong advisory focus:
- Professional negligence defence across construction, property, engineering, IT, finance, and other professions.
- Policy wording, coverage advice, and input on new products.
- Some associated contentious public liability / personal injury matters.
- Direct client interaction with major insurers and insureds.
Who we’re looking for:
- 4–10 years’ post-admission experience in defendant insurance litigation.
- Experience in professional indemnity, public liability, general insurance or personal injuries.
- A commercial approach, ability to run matters independently (with genuine support and mentoring on tap).
