Join this regulatory and membership body as part of the collegiate in-house legal team carrying out a range of legal, regulatory and policy work.
About the role:
As the leader of this section and reporting into the Head of Regulation, your role will include:
- conducting regulatory matters and providing legal advice on regulatory issues relating to solicitors. That includes best practice legal practice process, external audit, trust accounting etc.
- drafting policies, procedures and rules relating to legal practice;
- liaison with regulators and law enforcement; and
- advice on changes to the law or regulation of solicitors in Australia.
Skills/Experience:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- At least 7 years PAE ideally including experience similar to the above;
- a current unrestricted practising certificate;
- experience leading and managing a team;
- excellent time management skills and ability to manage deadlines; and
- excellent customer engagement skills.
