About the Company
An excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join a growing ASX-listed mining and resources business with international operations and significant growth plans.
This newly created role will see you working directly with a highly regarded General Counsel, taking responsibility for a broad range of commercial, corporate and strategic legal matters.
You’ll work closely with senior executives and operational teams, providing practical commercial legal advice and helping support the continued growth of the business.
About the role
This is a broad senior in-house opportunity, combining substantial commercial legal work with strategic business advisory responsibilities.
Your work will include:
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts with customers, suppliers and commercial partners.
- Advising on corporate and commercial transactions, including joint ventures, M&A, capital raisings and restructures.
- Providing commercially focused advice across projects, procurement, regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Working closely with senior executives and operational teams on strategic commercial matters and complex negotiations.
- Developing and improving internal legal processes, contracting frameworks and risk management practices.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced commercial lawyer with approximately 8+ years’ PAE in corporate/commercial and strong drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills.
Experience in mining, resources, energy or related sectors will be particularly attractive, whether gained in-house or within a leading private practice environment.
You’ll bring sound commercial judgement, strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work independently across a broad range of matters. Importantly, you’ll be pragmatic, adaptable and comfortable working in a growing business where you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of significant legal and commercial issues.

An attractive remuneration package of approximately $190–240k plus bonus is available, depending on experience.
