Legal Counsel
Autonomous, highly commercial role will suit an intermediate property or commercial lawyer keen to join a large, collegiate in-house team

This highly successful, large business has numerous arms and continues to undergo a digital and cultural transformation as well as revenue diversification. This newly created position will see you work across the business in a varied and highly commercial legal role.
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Legal and working in a large legal function of lawyers and risk/compliance professionals you will work across a broad range of matters with a focus on property and commercial work, including:
- advice on property related issues including leasing and acquisition/sale;
- commercial legal advice, negotiation and drafting of a variety of contracts and commercial agreements including IT/IP, procurement, consultancy, supply and licence contracts;
- privacy, competition and consumer law advice;
- general regulatory compliance and risk advice across the business;
- managing external counsel from time to time; and
- the provision of relevant training to the business.
Skills/Experience:
To be considered for this role you will have:
- an unrestricted practicing certificate with 4-7 years’ post admission experience;
- legal experience across property and commercial contracts;
- demonstrated in-house experience or secondment experience;
- excellent drafting and negotiation skills; and
- a pragmatic, commercial, outcome focused approach with strong people engagement skills.
